Zella Cole

Zella Cole was a victim of the White Death aka Tuberculosis. She died young at the age of 26.

Zella was the daughter of Robert Cole and Mary C. Lowe. She was born on 24 April 1889 in Carter County, Tennessee. In 1907, at 17 years old, Zella married her sweetheart, George Ensor. Four years later George and Zella welcomed a new addition to the world, Hazel Ensor.

Sadly, before baby Hazel turned 4 years old her mother died.

Based on her picture and the facts of her life, Zella was a beautiful young woman whose life was cut short by the white death.
